A Horse walker used to exercise injured, recovering, and convalescing horses. This risk assessment recognises the hazards and creates awareness of the necessary controls and PPE required to eliminate or reduce harm to your grooms and horses.
The second assessment is for carrying out basic maintenance tasks on a Horse walker. The central bearing must be greased once per calendar month with a grease gun. Other tasks such as accessing the horse walker to carry out cleaning tasks and clearing grass or weeds from the central area are covered in this assessment. This assessment considers Entrapment/Crush injuries, electrical hazards and more.
