These two risk assessments are for a tractor mounted fertiliser Spreader. The mounted fertiliser spreader is used on green areas and garden areas. The Fertiliser Spreaders are designed for use on small tractors, garden vehicles and other compact machines.
Both risk assessment identify the hazards the risks and necessary controls to prevent injury or damage whilst using and filling the equipment with fertiliser.
The hazards identified include, power take off, tree point linkage, Spreading Spout, attaching the implement, entanglement, crushing, nipping, severing. cutting or puncturing. Filling the spreader considers the risks from overloading the lift arm, hitching and unhitching, lone working, dust and more. Both assessments includes the necessary controls and PPE requirements, reference materials and much more.
